Would say get a bracket you can have adjustment , if need be make one up or modify one to fit. | |

they use an automatic tensioner. | |

When you used the new belt setup etc did you get a new bracket as well ?? | |

erm no its one from autovaux, its only done it since i got rid of my eml Light and the car got faster :lol: | |

In that case Im sure that these alternators have the self tensioner , and therefore the belt could be fuct. | |

because i have EPS so didnt need the PAS pump or Aircon... and only 1.4's came with neither :) | |

Ah right , any pics of this mate seem as your engine is out the car, cant remember how many bolts hold the alternator in exactly, is it just one i need to undo or all of them ? | |

The alternator bracket , loosen the bolt holding the alternator and stretch it back more :thumbs: | |

got a 1.6 running a 1.4 16v 1995 sri belt set up been fine for about 5k but now it squeels at high RPM, are belts ment to go this fast or is there a way of tightening it ? |
