He said that 'the clocks display the rev being 1300rpm which is wrong'. Not 'when I fitted the clocks my car started to idle at 1300rpm'. | |

well he didnt say if it eventually drops and 1300rpm is the high idle speed. | |

It is because the rev counter is designed for a different engine though. | |

Well if its idling at 1300rpm when you first put the car on it will because the engine is cold and the auto chock is on :o | |

The rev counter is going to be from a 4 cylinder engine. It wont work on your car properly. You need a rev counter from a 3 cylinder car - if they exist. | |

Maybe the rev counter is from a car with a different engine, where the rev scale is different. | |

I have a 1.0 corsa W reg Trip. I have just fitted clock with a rev counter in it. The problem is when i start the car the rev counter shows the car idleing about 1300rpm which is wrong, any way to sort this |
