4cyl clocks wont work properly in a 3 cyl car ... listen to ed

He said that 'the clocks display the rev being 1300rpm which is wrong'. Not 'when I fitted the clocks my car started to idle at 1300rpm'.

But the problem has only started since he has fitted the clocks so work it out...

well he didnt say if it eventually drops and 1300rpm is the high idle speed.

It is because the rev counter is designed for a different engine though.

Well if its idling at 1300rpm when you first put the car on it will because the engine is cold and the auto chock is on :o

The rev counter is going to be from a 4 cylinder engine. It wont work on your car properly. You need a rev counter from a 3 cylinder car - if they exist.

Maybe the rev counter is from a car with a different engine, where the rev scale is different.

u sure it's the counter thats wrong? and not the engine itself idling high??
