nah i havent fitted the engine yet, came in two parts, but the clutch wasnt fitted. have sorted the clutch now, just need a new release bearing, anyone got one?

you have to align the clutch with the pressure plate so its dead in the middle its bascially so the box goes on right. there will be no marks on it probably only one saying 'flywheel side' on it

i got hold of one of the alighment tools, aint got a problem fitting the clutch, but i cant see any alignment marks, does this matter?

i paid £10 for my clutch alighnment tool.

you aline the pressure plate with the flywheel, there should be a mark on both i belive

does it matter how you bolt on the clutch or is there some sort of alighment?

i'd rip the whole lot out to do one... its a booooogerr in the car :thumbs:

try doing it with the engine in the car.... complication times 10

Take box off, undo clutch bolts... job done, just bolt new clutch on and re attach the box :thumbs:
