I have the same prob, exactly the same symptoms + i can smell the cat when its like that.

I get the feelin that mine is a breakdown of something due to the heat as it doesnt happen when the engines cold. So im thinkin along the lines of plugs, HT leads coil pack etc.

Ive cleaned then ICV cause people suggested that, but to no avail.

i would take the induction kit off and put the standard airbox on and see what its like then. if you'v recently put the induction kit on it then the stalling problem could be just the engine flooding with fuel. I bet it happens when you'v been caning it along a motorway or something then slow down and stop at a roundabout?

i've got a corsa b sri which i bought with an induction kit on it. best thing i'v done is take the bloody thing off. car runs better now than it ever did before.

Plugs are under that plastic cover, use allen key or socket set to remove.

Fuel Pump/filter?

hi having problems with my car happens about every 2 days it seems fine while im driving along then suddenly the engine feels very sluggish and its jerky when changing gears and it needs high revs when pulling off to aviod stalling and when it does stall i have problems getting it started again need to pump gas pedal etc , perhaps its not running on all cyclinders? i was gonna check spark plugs but i dunno how to get to them? are they under the plastic cover or something? cuz i aint got the tools to get that off also if it aint the plugs then what else would it be?
