u might have an airlock in the heater matrix. When refilling your your coolant from empty u should always put the heater to hot so as when u refill with water it goes to the matrix as well, and u dont get any trapped air there.:D | |

You dont have to flush the system, just top it up and run it at idle til very hot with the header tank cap off and heaters on. You wont loose much water from there as its at the top of the engine. | |

About £60 from vaux as they only sell them with the housing. | |

nice one mate. will check it in the week. if it needs replacing, do I need a vaux one or can i get a patern one from halfords etc. any idea how much they are? | |

Nope. Just take the top rad hose off, undo the 3 bolts and swap it iirc. | |

Is that behind the dash? my heaters work, they just don't get hot, they blow out warmish air, not very warm though, usually freeze to death on the way to work. | |

I not long had a new head gasket fitted and evr since my heaters never go warm? I've checked all the pipes are attached and theres water but I can think what else it could be? b4 I changed the gasket there was loads of mingy orange gunk in the water tank and i'm thinking it may be this? do you think the pipes are blocked or is my heater just buggered?? opions please:( |
