On mine when the stereo was off the date was dispalayed but when power was on it was a blank screen, think thats what he means :thumbs:

thats to make them come on with the key, instead of staying on all the time and to store radio stations and settings etc

My MFD still displays the time and date with a pioneer head unit, just didnt connect that connectorinto the cd player (because you can't) and it comes up. Worked for me anyway. I just left the spare connector loose.

Can i still display the date even though i have a aftermarket stereo? Im sure ive heard of this being done before by cutting a wire or something? Does anyone know?
