no. definately not. and a re-map wont solve the em light problem. wont need a remap but will run smoother with one. higher rev limit is nice but dont forget to fit APR rod bolts and SBD rollers!

nope. won't do anything and possible could make things worse! alot of people (including me kind of) hav had problems with them.

nah, i had a dbilas inlet manifold and my EM light didn't come on, it was fine. aslong as you get the sensors connected back on properly you'll be ok. and you get excellent performance on its own without a remap.

Right so basically if i dont get the remap i should expect the engine management light to come on if i boot it and there isnt much else i can do about it

Here you go bud.

A post I put up just after fitting.

I don't reckon it's a problem judging by what people have said.

mine never had the management light come on..... depends how you fit it i suppose!

a remap will make the most of those mods, jamsport do it for £450+vat.

Surely if its all set up properly the eml should not be coming on

no sensors are removed just a different inlet is being put onto the engine

i recon you do have a genuine problem if your eml is on

Corsa808 is best person for advice on inlets he seems to know all the answers as he does quite a few of these type of mods

The management light will come on. Just one of those things you have to put up with, mine does it if I let off from say 90MPH.

I have had my mantzel on for a few months now, and had no problems apart from the light. Need to take the bulb out.

I just didnt want to get them fitted and then all of a sudden the engine management light starting to come on and it overfueling etc.

You don't need to re-map it, it will run well without.

To get the best out of the mods, you need it remapping. The best way to do it is to buy a Dastek unichip, and then have that mapped on a RR.

When i priced it up, it came to £500-£600.

Right here goes...

Ive got a 1.4 16v ecotec with a pannel filter and full exhaust on.

I have manzel inlet and janspeed manifold awaiting to go on.

The question I have is, will the car need to be 're-mapped' once these go on.

If so who do you people recomend, I'm not fussed about huge bhp increase I just want it to run properly when everything goes on.

I'd prefer as near to the North East.

Cheers in advance
