The main problem with your standard induction kit is not the filter, but the amount of air "allowed" into the box. Generally the cold air feed is not very large and situated badly. | |

no, the best way too loose power is to fit an induction kit. | |

Not really, the standard air box is very restrictive, it has been designed to be as quiet as possible and this leads to restricting the engine of air a little bit. It will be slightley betther than the standard, but the main benefits are that you can keep the pannel filter for longer and does't need to be replaced at each service. | |

...but one not really answered before (that I could find). Does changing the standard airfilter to an aftermarket panel filter have much(/any) change in performance or sound? I'm talking about WITHOUT DRILLING the airbox, and it is not for my motor but for a 1.4 I'm interested in. |
