go spend 14 quid on a haynes manual, and about 5 quid on the relevent spanners. probably than you would get charged to do it. plus then you have a haynes manual too.

drivers side of engine bay
there is a rubber belt thats the drive belt
the alternator thing at the back of engine ther should be a adjuster there do that

dont leave it to long, i ignored it on mine and it snapped on motor way and i lost all power. only a few quid to get sorted

:lol: dont know why i posted that thought it might have had a guide on how to retension ive only had to do this on my old car. which wasnt a corsa.

Ask someone on here where it is or ittle be near your alternator. the belt that is connected to that. then look for something that looks like a tensioner. and adjust it

pulleys,my old engine did it a lot, especially when cold and the components were not warmed up

NO!!!!! dont take to garage its 2 minute job all you need is spanner. even pair of pliers would do it :lol:

when i said "pull it out" i meant move tensioner so that it does what its supposed to do. then tighten nut back up to hold tensioer in correct place.

do it yourself

loosen tentioner. pull it out. then re tighten it up.

unless its really old and need replacing but i doubt it.

just retighten it :thumbs:

Oh its embarressing every time i pull away in 1st or 2nd get a huge squealing noise but goes if it rev it heavily, anyone have a clue what it is
