Now the new shape is out, is it much better? does it handle much better? If anyone has been in one, what are your opinions?

Any replies i would be very grateful!

yeah i have heard they are a bit soft, surely lowering on a good set of shockers would help alot? What was it like topend in comparison to your car?

not to bad mate... I had 1 person up and 1/3 a tank of fuel... plus a brake pad in constant contact with my alloy... and still managed to pull very slightly, I was a bit shocked to be honest... would of expected to pull away after 80 but could not... I am not sure if this was due to a problem I had with my rear brakes or not, Need to have another go against one to be honest... not to bad a motor.

Shocks and Springs will sort it out

To my knowledge there is nobody on here with a Corsa C 1.8SRi ... you wont be disapointed with the power... but for the price, you could get a better overall car.... still nice though

I've got one. Had it over a month now and done about 2k in it. Its got the new lights and bumpers etc.
Used to have a Yreg 1.2sxi, compared to that its damn quick. Much better brakes too. Apparently vx changed the steering setup, but its pretty subtle...
gf's got a mini one which i find more chuckable, but is obviously much slower in a straight line.

online you can now buy them for just over £11k new which is alot cheaper than what it used to be.

it is a under rated car, and they have change the steering rack in it

Had my SRi for about 18months now '02 plate. From standard the handling is shite on corners at speed. Can't fault it on much else except for the damn traction control!!!

disable the traction control. just buy a t/c switch from the older astras n wire it up. check out the thread in the Aussie section.

The 0-100 time for the corsa is 23.8 compared to 23.9 for the 106 Gti, so sooty i`d say these facts support your race!
