since before i started driving i have loved the old minis. for about 4-5k you can pick up an S reg cooper with the sportspack with it and half leather and all, what do u think of em. they look really good standard but later on a few changes may be made. however ther aint really a boot so the back seats will have to be taken out which will allow me to make quite a nice install.

is it worth me selling my VTR for one, basically i need some spare money so i need to buy a cheaper car

the only problem i have with them is that the back seats will ahve to be taken out so i can fit some ICE in, this means i will have to get some dark tints on windows (like i do now on my saxo). even if i do that peeps can still look in - is it worth it secruity wise!

I've honestly considered a few times getting a late end of the line old shape Cooper, dont know why it's just a car that i've always liked.

People go on about cars handling well, you've experiance nowt until you've drove a Cooper, not the fastest standard but that could easily be sorted

they don't handle, they just feel like they do because they've got no suspension. they only feel fast till you drive a real car, and they RUST.

They are brilliant cars, one of the best handling and maintenance/mods are dead simple.

The only problem with them is that you'll need an LSD and a Quaife box to make it properly quick as the standard 4speed box is miserable. These cost erm...a fair bit!!!

Minis are wicked. Seen 4.6 V8 engines, Retops, Redtop turbos on throttle bodies (Mig), Vtecs, And even minis with the Vtec engine and complete dash inside.

Friends currently building his 2nd mini. Going to be superb
