AT the start of 2fast 2furious the skyline arrives at the race and it blows some sort of gas or air out from under the wheel arches, what is this? at kroozin live in shipley today there was a corsa and astra who both did this. but they could do it with the engine off, there was a bottle of something in the corsa but i dunno what, obviously its only for show but does anyone know how to do it?

yeh but these cars did not have nos, it was like the stuff that comes out of a fire extinguisher, sort of compresses air

what cars? all the cars on 2f2f that had the purge spray had nos

yep makes sure its circulating ready for use, if you watched the film westside, you would see Brian's Skyline has Nos as he uses it to launch over the bridge at the final part of the first street race.

It's used before nitrous use.... the purpose of a purge valve is to release trapped air or gaseous nitrous from the feed line... to make sure fresh liquid nitrous enters the solenoids only...

I used to backfill fire extinguishers (dodgy i know) and attach a length of tube to it and fire arrows about 70 metres with it....

You could back fill an old extinguisher with a compressor and pipe it to the parts of the car you want it.

might have been using the CO2 kit that I have been looking at recently, they use them to spray across the intercooler etc to lower the induction temperature. there was something about them on MIG somewhere

westside - you can also buy speaker things to go under the bonnet that sound like dump vales and a whistle thing to put in the exhaust
