it is possible and it has been done! It will cost about £3.5k for the conversion though if you can find someone off here to do it. Im pretty sure lee mitchell hasnt done one yet, but wants to give it a go!

Good point nismo, with the amount of £ that loads of people spend on their cars, they could have somehting amazing. Im not saying modding corsas is a waste of money, cos each to their own and im about to spend quite a bit on mine, but its worth thinking about!

You would need the six speed box. Running a 2.0L Turbo with a five speed box will eventually lead to problems.

Well the gear ratios are different and you're never going to be able to push the engine to its full potential. If you think about it all the 2 Litre turbos come with a six speed box. Im not an expert but thats what ive been told anyway

I'd say that is an incorrect statment. more powerfull cars have wider spaced ratios, 6th speed gives them a higher top speed.

it's all in the ratios

yes but the F28 is the LET gearbox, and therefore less likely to go wrong in the first place

yes but £50 every couple months and time off the road, plus the f28 is unlikely to break.
