I've not been in touch with MTB for a while. should be able to get a nice steel bike with decent front shocks and possbily XT hydrolic discs

Yeah i know

But a knowledgable lad said it was an awesome bike n sped for the price.
He also said like marc the marin components werent that good.

thing about kona's is they hurt the fucking arse after a while

konas are very light weight too, my dads chro mo kona is lighter than my alloy marin.

Used to be into mountain biking a while ago and at the time I would of taken an equivelent Kona over a Marin any day, as it happens I settled for a Cannondale.

Ive had 2 Marins. 1st one got Nicked. 2nd one i broke last week snapped part of the frame off

Where are people insured??

If parts of the frame snap then Marin will normally replace under warranty.

It was 2-3 years old Joff + my fault for being heavy handed. One of the gear guides on the frame had bent inwards. I applired to much force and snapped it off. Not sure if a jubille clip would have done though

i used to ride have a santa cruze chamleon maguras, xt components, mavic rims, RST folks lots of sealed bearings, tioga factory tyres

spent roughly £1800 on it back in the day
