I'm wiring up my new Lightning Audio amp and sub. When i turn the power off on the head unit the amp turns on. When I turn the head unit on the amp turns off!! Which isn't very helpful!

Any idea's what could be wrong?!

u have a short in ur leads somewhere so its cutting off to prevent it blowing up, had this on one of mine turned out to be a single strand of wire for one of my front components touching the other one

it will only be on the sub unless ur headunit it knackered easiest way is to check ur remote power lead first if not that then all of em, wont take long as there is only 5 wires intotal

Well we've got it working when the remote cable lead isnt attached. When u put that back in it turns off, suspecting it could be something to do with that cable. Its well annoying! Could it be a problem with the remote cable then?

yes. check the full length of the cable and make sure it is not snapped and that there is none of the copper wire touching metal
