my mate had one. very quick once camm'd p+p'd, chipped, etc....

but the engine bay is a nightmare to work on.

even a simple task like changing the oil filter takes AGES! because of the small engine bay.

Did you know the bonnet opens towadrs you, so you have to work on it from the sides, or take the bonnet off.

would you be doing the work yourself? or having a garage do the work?

It wont have 150bhp with those mods.

Personnally, selling a newer car, with less mileage, for an old car, with high mileage, seems a little silly to me,but then, your cash, so up to you.

For that money, i'd rather have a mint ERST.

I think a 13bhp gain can be achieved from a full exhaust system, chip, de-cat

I thought the 1.8 16v were 130bhp? I still dont think it would be as quick as a williams!!

13bhp is obtainable, but i'd say morelike 10bhp tops!!

But then thats my opinion, and it shouldn't matter to you

clio 1.8 16v - 137bhp i think the chip, de-cat, induction kit, and full s/s system should see me to around 150bhp

i shall be replacing the current induction kit and exhaust with a sealed unit and a full magnex

Aye, i know, hence why i dont think those kinda mods would put it in Williams territory.

137bhp as standard! What the torque figures ont eh standard lump? I never thought the 1.8 16v's were particulary quick?

As for the clio i'd say that is a resonable estimate, between 147-150 bhp

They are quick, trust me and 0-60 is quiote similar to williams as std yet the williams pulls a second quicker over q mile.

Torque will obviously be more on williams, does anyone know where most of the power is on the 1.8 16v, mostly high up the revs?

Never realised they had that much power.
I remember looking on K-tecs site though. They've got exhuast manifolds which they claim gives around another 20bhp. Seems a bit high to me. Deffo worth checking out their site though.

Williams is a 2.0litre though, that extra cc is what will pull it up the strip quicker.

Anyone know the official stats for a williams? Might go hunting
