Just trying to drum up some extra business for the pub where i work, their xmas menu is out for this year and it really is a great place to eat, im not being bias but the meals are all home cooked none of this microwave frozen meal shite that you get in most places and the portions are generous to say the least. Pls check out their site and it really is a nice place to take the misses or ya fella for lunch or dinner, real log fire and everything gives the place a great atmosphere at night.

This pub isnt really in Luton its more like North Hertfordshire and lets face it every town has its crap areas and its nice areas

Ah Britwell, reminds me of a funny race I had...

I take it you know slough, so you know how there are lots of speed bumps going from burnham down into britwell.

Well I was racing a fiesta 1.25 from my mates house and the fiesta turned down into the road that goes towards britwell.

I was not that far behind and I suddenly noticed I was gaining on the fiesta (as if they lifted off)... I kept my foot planted and went to over take.

It was as I was overtaking I noticed why they were slowing down as there are so many speed humps down that road.

I tried to slow down - but still hit the first speed hump at about 70 mph! I had my mate in the car and he looked like he was about to throw up! The car flew through the air (pretty hard for a heavy corsa) and smacked back down.

With this the fiesta saw that we wern't letting up and also started taking speed humps fast.

I could either A) back off, save my suspension and let my mate in the fiesta win - which would result in constant bragging for the rest of my life or B) floor it.

we hit about 8 speed humps at stupid speeds, then pulled into where we were going at the same time as a police car going past... could you imagine if the police car had come 5-10 secs earlier to see us A) speeding B) flying over speed humps on the wrong side of the road!

My suspension was screwed after that, had to get a whole new suspension kit.

was still fun though

Yeah I used to live in Slough, well Langley anyway!

Do they still do the Slough Cruise at the Brunel Bus Station car park or has it gone back to the Arches in Windsor?
