the best aftermarket bulbs which gives the closest HID/Xenon effect imo is PIAA. a mate of mine forked out for some and they really do make a difference! downside is most are not e-marked.

Noonster19 - you'll need the W5W bulbs for your sidelights m8.

also try this site for bulbs, http://www.powerbulbs.com - free delivery & you also get free blue vision sidelights with every set of bulbs ordered!

Right the free bulbs are Philips Blue Vision W5W....

So main/dipped beem bulbs should I buy??

Philips Vision Plus - 50% more light on the road! Brighter, whiter light with up 20 metres longer beam!

Philips Blue Vision - New and Improved! Blue Vision Ultra - 4000K for the best HID 'Xenon' effect

Philips Premium - 30% more light

At the moment I think I should get the Blue Vision ones.... cost £14.75 each is that good??

You can buy the blue vision ones from here.... http://www.powerbulbs.com/

Not sure if what % increase they are... but heres direct links to the pages...

H4 - http://www.powerbulbs.com/products/product.php?prodid=pbv&type=H4
H7 - http://www.powerbulbs.com/products/product.php?prodid=pbv&type=H7

You also get free W5W bubs, but only one pair per order..... so Im gonna order one set in my name and the other in my gf's name so I get too sets of W5W for free (then I have spares)

Also if I change the front (W5W) bulbs do I need to change the ones on the doors/boot to match?? What bulbs would I need??

OK I think Im going thick...

right I need 4 H7 bulbs.....2 for main beam 2 for diped beam.... Happy with that

I get 2 free W5W bulbs..... where do these go... Im guessing they replace my eggy front indicators?? Or am I being thick?? as they are £9.99, but you can buy indicator bulbs for £14.75

Can someone please explain which bulb sizes and bulbs go where, as I wanna get them ordered today and dont want to get it all wrong....

Sorry for being a pain
Cheers

I think you are mate! lol.

right the W5W are the wedges style bulbs - these are for your SIDElights - the small ones that come on with one turn of the knob. so i would'nt worry about the side repeaters or the rear indicators.

the bulbs to remove the eggy look from your front indicators are the Silver vision ones - £14.75 its up to you if you wanna spend that much.

and for the headlights, i would just get one set of H7's for your dipped beam, as imo i dont really think its worth buying another set just for your main beam. how often so you use it?

So I am going thick then.......

So basically my headlight units have eight bulbs in total??

2 - Dipped beam
2 - Main Beam
2 - Sidelights
2 - Indicators

Right I understand now......
Thanks for the help

So If I replace the dipped beam, I mayas well get the Sidelights for Free, as they stay on when I have dipped beem on also Right??

God, Im so thick when it comes to lights

Now that im up on the lighting thing

Should I get the Phillips Ice blue bulbs, that match the free side light bulbs...... or should I get the Ultra Vision bulbs for better light.....

Think I better keep it the same - answered my own question again.

Going to order them either to night or tomora at work, as I finish in 10mins (YES!!), So will order 1 set in my name so I get free sidelights and another set in my dads name so I get free side lights, and then sell the spare set for a £5 or something...... that way I save some more money - I can be a tight git sometimes.
