Cavalier SRi/GSi2000
Calibra 2.0 16v

They never made a 1.6 16v CDX Corsa.

You are VERY silly people. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 1.6 16v CDX corsa. you really shud learn to listen. They made the CDX in 1.5TD, 1.7D, 1.2 16v and 1.4 16v.

ive seen 1 for sale when i bought mine, couldnt get insured on it. looked on autotrader, none there, but its when daimo seen the 1 no1 thought was made (sxi or summit?)

They DID NOT make a 1.6 16v CDX, end of story mate

They DID however do a small run of SXi's in 97 (pre 97 spec). They had thin irmscher skirts, thin top spoiler and an SXi badge, the same as found on the Nova SXi. I believe it was a small limited edition run, prior to the SXi's launch in early 98.

Although the first site backs up what i say, it is still not good evidence. I mean even the tyre pressure values are incorrect. Both Haynes and my corsa manual disagree with the figures.

The second (more automotively dedicated site) is correct. This site also points out the early SXi models.

yes mate i know there is very little signs of one, but ive seen 2 that i can recall

just like standard corsas with rear disks (i remember this topic a year or so ago, a few people had seen std corsas with rear disks, a 5 door even?)

and

standard 1.2 corsa c's with rear disks (this was a demo car at motorshow, was a 1.8 rep but they didnt have the 1.8 engine ready) no doubt this car will be sold as it is, a 1.2 with rear disks, although they didnt ever make 1 or have it as a factory option

or

it will be an opel corsa changed to a vaux

I dont need ANY evidence to show that they never put the 1.6 16v engine into anything but the GSi/Sport. Its a WELL KNOWN fact. Well thats wot i thought!!

Back to the redtop,
if it helps we used to have a Cav Sri 2.0 16v Sri on an L-plate. It was runnin the c20xe redtop with 136BHP. I loved it and if I could find it would buy it back. There were a few made between late 93-95
