Grades are mean jack shit. I mean how many of you bother to work out calculations in your head and not on a calculator?

And how often do you use equations? X=Y bolloxs, sorry this was the arguements I used to have with my teachers, its all a load of absolute bollox.

Yes, it is not about what you learn, it is about demonstrating that you have the ability to learn. School also conditions you and teaches you the best methods of learning/understanding ready for more job specific training later in life.

I know most ppl say GCSE's are worthless and to be honest they are! My college only wanted 4 C's or above to let me in and was b'cos I never had a 6th Form at my High School. I got one A, a few B's and the rest D's.

AS/A levels are most important!! Even the jobs like to check these out. My college based my AS level predicted grades upon my GCSE results. I had: C/D-Maths D-Accounts D-ICT and D-Business Studies.

I got 2 A's, B and a C. It's when Uni's check your predicted grades counts so most important year IMO is year 12!

Exams really must be getting easier, with some people here doing up to 15 exams!

I did 9, back in 1993, and that felt like a LOT of work at the time......no way would I have tried to do more!

But, congrats to everyone who got what they wanted!
