Anyone know whats so special about the sporting model is these? my m8 has one, 3 door, with a k&n and thats it. it was dead even with another mates 306 D turbo which is pretty rapid, certainly quicker than my sxi! how can i get my sxi to be as quick as the sporting. oh yea and my mate with the sporting had a full car, the d turbo had just the driver in and me!

the Punto 1.2 16v sporting is quite a highly tuned engine as standard so to be honest i dont think their is much more you can do with the engine. Not sure what you could do to your corsa to beat it though *Awaits Vibrio's entry here*

then again if you upgrade the engine in the punto with that of an electric toothbrush motor then i believe it has the edge over the mountfield

the 6th gear is fake wen u put it in 6th it goes into 5th really this is just to make the driver seem like hes in a supercar hence making him/her stiff

only the new shape punto sportings have 6 gears. And they are not fast at all. The old punto sporting is quite a lot faster. Also the sportng started out as a 1.6, when it was changed t a 1.2 the 1.2 was faster than the 1.6
