My sky digital has fucked up. I was about to sit down and watch the arsenal match but i cant get a fucking picture. Same with the rest of the channels bar a few shite ones.

There goes my afternoons entertainment

just switch it off from the mains for a while and then back on and should be fine mate. happens to me all the time lol

Power it off at the plug, then hold backup and select on the digibox itself while plugging it back in, and keep them held until a message appears on your screen.


Should sort it out.

click the services button and press 0 1 select you will get the engineers screen and check your signal strength if its low do a new installation should work

If you do what i said it does a software update so it replaces the current software, always works with me

Sounds like your decoder is going a bit fucked mate. Don't tell me, it's an Amstrad. I've had two of these Amstrad decoders of Sky and they both went fucked so in the end i just got Freeview. Got a Pace decoder and it works great. I was paying almost £40 a month and hardly watching anything so i just got rid.

when that happens,
reset everything from the mains,
take the chip out and clean it,
turn everything back on after a few minutes.
and usually it comes back

Card rollout should be complete by now, i had mine but never put it in, then it come up on the screen 'to continue using the service you must use your new viewing card' or some rubbish like that.

The reason for issuing new cards was because so many people were beginning to hack the viewing cards

ya get a card writer - and ya write a code onto the card that gives ya access to all the channels - i belive

my dads solicitor used to do that for us.
he just gave us cards. kept us sweet for a while

that was for the very old sky tho.
