Ehwn that Car rolles over and the roof colapses in you cannot move as the harnesses hold you tight to the seat. smack, roof meets head and your f*cked...this was proved a few years ago

It has been proved that airbags can often do a lot of harm. Usually happens due to a large number of people sitting closer to the steering wheel that they should be meaning they are forced back when it opens.

if your seat aint set up properly (ppl with buckets etc) it can seriously damage your neck head. with rebounding.

Airbag coming out is meant to sound like a gunshot isn't it? Pretty loud whatever it is!

well i can honestly say that i had no problems wiv the airbag. wen i hit that wall at 40mph+ dead on, it was all in slow motion and i saw the air bag shoot out of the wheel, the plastic bit just folds down and by the time the bag got to my face it had already started to deflate. so i felt nothing, and i mean nothing. i find stopping for traffic lights more of a stretch and for the noise, i think the sound of an engine falling out of place and a battery blowing up is far more of a noise than an airbag.

206's dont have a lap belt in the middle, they have a normal 3 point inertia real belt.

This is true. People sit too close causing the airbag to simply break your enck apon impact.

My friend also was not wearing his seatbelt when he was hit head on at about 40+mph. He was knocked out and his car when spinning back accross the road into a fence. Where he was out cold, he looked dead as he swung past. No seatbelt on, but luckily he hit the airbag and headbutted the windowscreen.

Airbags can be dangerous, but this time it saved his life!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont take the risk, is it really worth it? Especially you new young drivers! You dont really appreciate how bad a car can get mutalated at such a low speed!!

I was wearing my seat belt (driver) in my recent accident ( NOT my fault ),........ and i still came away with a jaw broken in bits, teeth lost, teeth burst through my gum, teeth chipped, and sore neck!

However, i didnt have it one (which the scum claimed) i wouldnt be here today.

IMO it depends on the accident, seatbelts will have saved thousands of lives on the roads, and this has be proved that they do save more lives than what they risk, but there is the odd occasion where they have been known to injure someone.

i feel too uncomfortable if i don't wear a seatbelt. I have my seat all the way back due to my long legs.
plus they keep u inplace when ur taking ur corners.

I don't see why people don't wear em, its not like it hurts.

Yer it just feels weird to be in a car and not to have the seat belt on for me! Always just put it on without thinking about it really.
