Because basically, throttle bodies is all that is running on the engine. Still has standard injection, air flow sensor, ecu.

My spec is

throttle bodies
chip
plugs and leads
fuel rate regulator
Exhaust and de-cat

Not very modded at the mo is it.

15.74 on 16's is good, you can't take that away from me.

Realistically, Dbilas over exagerate with their power claims. I reckon a 20-25bhp gain from the throttle bodies is more genuine.

It is tuned well at the moment. Engine is at the best it could be with current mods. 142bhp I am happy with.

Exatcly, hence they are not throttle bodies.

I am not disputing the time, i am disputing that you do not have throttle bodies. I have said that since our unfortunate 1st meeting and will continue to think that until proven otherwise.

At the end of the day I couldn't care a less if they were 'real' throttle bodies or not. To me, it's the performance that they give that is important. Yes, they have given me a lot of bother and they took a long time to set-up perfectly but now they are and I am happy with them. I can't see what everybody's problem is?

No-one has the problem but you. I just said they are not proper throttle bodies. If your happy, fine, thats no sweat off our backs.

You started off. You have brought it on yourself.

Andy - From what I an gather the gains from Throttle bodies on a Teg arnt as good s you'd imagine..
In the US there is a conversion, and they only gained 10bhp over a ported standard jobbie.
Also with Throttle bodies MPG turns to shite

Cams work well on the ITR, make power all the way to 10k
I need to start saving thou, gonna be about £1k for the cams, valve springs and retainers.

Skunk2 stage 2's or Jun II's are what im gonna go for.. my goal is 200wbhp
(around 230 at the flywheel)

I'd rather have a new civc type R. mmmm.

Personally my corsa represents wat i can do with what i've got, and what i can learn from doing it. I do almost everythin to my car myself to learn as much as to save cash. One day i'll not have to worry about paying insurance and i'll have a load of knowledge in my head to do somethin really spectacular.......... fingers x'd.......

Current CTRs look like people carriers gone badly badly wrong. If you must have a car that revs to 160,000 rpm then at least get an imported EK9.

everyone always blabs on about type r VTEC blah blah blah, fact of the matter is, you can get a 1.6 corsa to push out the same power reliably with a 9-10k rev limit
