do you brake from silly speeds with std discs?

What like 130mph with standard 1.2 16v discs and pads? Whoops, that'd be me.

Adam, nothing like when I was driving down the fast lane at about 115-120mph and someone pulled out from the middle lane at about 50mph and I had to loose 60-70mph of speed in about 100 yards!

Was on my way to Margate at the time and when I came off at the next junction I was pressing the brakes so hard coming upto the roundabout and the car didn't want to stop. Luckily, It did stop in time. Think the pads must of been a tad too hot.

could be something simple like tracking i spose, did bend the rim up the other day

am gonna just change everything at once, just pulling the money together, wheels, suspension, brakes, engine..

respray is just round the corner. will be sorted soon........

kinda like the way i've done it, brought a mint condition corsa, shagged it to buggery, then getting it rebuilt and like new...

so a car can be at its top speed but not at the redline?

is this the gear box's fault?

if its a 12v going up a hill then yes it can be at topspeed but not redline!

The ECU controlls how high the engine can rev, not the gearbox
