My mate has just offerd me a combi van with a shagged engine for a tenner it has rot on the wind deflector bit on the roof and i have a 1.2 8v engine will it be easy to swap my engine in wat bits will need replacin i.e fuel tank etc.

for a tenner mate get someone to swap the engine for you and flog it make some money.

no i can probably do the engine myself just need to know if i hve to replace fuel tank etc. or has ne one got a cheap diesel engine layin around

replace it with a diesel engine, more hassle than its woth trying to stick a petrol in a diesel car.

yer replace it wiha diesel engine, otherwise ull have to get a new fuel tank, fuel lines and injecters

just look about and scrappies or vaux specalist centres for the engine, their bound to have 1

break it & sell it,

have a look & see what the front brake setup on them is

old astra diesel vans use to run the Astra GSI setup
