And with modern day rap u cannot split them so easily into eastcoast and westcoast, if u were a real hip hop fan u would know this.

Tupac every time. I like Biggie too, Skys The Limit is a wicked tune.
Both made some classic rhymes, but as a person i think Tupac was more of an artist.

All this East-Coast West-Coast rivalry is crap, it was a good day for the music industry when Pac's mum & Big's mum stood side-by-side and hugged in front of thousands of people.
If you was a true hip-hop fan, you'd realise that all this killed the best 2 rappers in history.

i reckon the rivalray was good for the music industray in a way ie competiting against each other with tunes and albums etc but not with guns etc

Just a few of the battles going on at the mo.
But if i was to choose i would go with 2Pac......

As for the rivalry thing, all the beef came from the media and the west coast artists... BIG & Puff never said shit about pac, I don't even think they ever put out a diss track... and before anyone says 'Who shot ya' that was out long before pac was shot.

im not saying pac is a shit rapper by any accounts, just biggie bought a whole new image to the hiphop scene, his raps were stories not just monotomous crap about hoes/money/killing people with no real feeling. and also another part of it is just his voice, its amazing, different to anyone else and for me, no one will ever beat him. tupacs music is too rnb for my liking on average. whereas biggie had the tunes, the voice and the ability to tell believable stories

METHOD MAN
Distinctive voice, Totally Crazy and his Lyrics are sick.
Eminem, 50 CENT, and Royce 5.9 all come before Biggie and 2Pac.
But again, EVERYONE TO THEIR OWN.

No way was it a good thing.... puffy fucked the last album, cause big wasn't there to tell him that his beats were poppy & shite lol. It was a pure money making exercise for Puff
