Picked it up a couple of weeks ago so standard atm. Full pug specialist history and 58k, got it for £3500

Had some serious blats down country lanes in the last couple of weeks, I cannot praise the chassis of this car enough, havent even found the limit yet. Has made me realise there is much more to a decent chassis then hard shocks and lowered springs, i used to think my Corsa on Bilsteins was good.

The 106 S1 rallye has a 1.3 8v with Pug sport head and wild cam and makes 100bhp

the S2 rallye does indeed have the same unit as the 1.6 Xsi and early VTR`s but its tuned to 103 bhp.

The 106 Gti is suppossed to have 120bhp from the factory but as with VTS there seems to be inconsitencys in power output with these engines, or maybe people are just bullsh1tting

1.3 8v that pushes 90+ bhp... well done pug, and vauxhaul should be ashamed

think about the 1.2 8v pushing 45 bhp or whatever it does... ROfl!

there was power output inconsistancies between 1997- 1999 on the 106gti/vts unit... 120-130hp... indeed steve's was approx 130 standard as RR prooved
