im not so sure about this idea, as ita only a limited number of people that go 'too far' in general chat, and so it would only be this small group that would use the new forum, they'd get bored at talking to each other all day and venture back into general chat.

IMO general chat is one of the best forums ive used because of the banter between users. SSC is boring, cruiseboard is boring, and migweb is migweb!!

i agree with sooty that maybe a trial period of such a forum would be beneficial to gauge reaction.

and as with nearly every1 else thats replied to this thread, i'd like to nominate myself to be a moderator

I personally don't see the point in the new forum, ur still gonna get the muppets in both forums. If u want to get rid of the muppets just ban them.
