My mates yellow Focus was on the cover earlier this year.
Thought Revs shot their cover cars in astudio with lighting etc, so they can set it up to get the best from a colour surely.
Sounds more of a 'fob off'

yea it was going to be shot inside, but due to the fact we stay in the NE scotland, and the chick work all week, it would be a nightmare geting down to the studio, and they are now saying all future cover car will be shot outside.

defo talking bollox but its a good excuse comming from a markingting point of view
but on the front cover there is also bright titles, women, etc etc etc and its not as if mels car is dark black!
go elsewhere, would be funny if redline had the revs stand's car on their cover

They could spice the colour up on the cover, they did with C13 as you see the same pic in the mag later but no flip to it

Still, if you knew how mags worked u would know that they say one thing then usually provide another. And for gods sake, its Revs, part of max power.  the most arrogent self loving snobby magazine staff ever!!
I agree its annoying, but u shouldn't just build a car to get a feature.

I think it just goes to show you that you should modify a car for yourself and yourself only. The magazine people are just journalists and dont give a flying fcuk about cars at all, it if sells their magazine, so they can keep a salary going then thats that happens.
Its a fashion, one minute one things hot, the next it isnt. Personally I wouldnt be a part of it, your the one who ends up losing thousands if you had your heart set on it spending whatever you can just to get noticed, and for what.. a load of debt for a modified kev'd up shopping trolley? when you look back you realise it just isnt worth it.

They obvioulsy havent spoke to their design team, or to those who produce the magazine.. It's pretty fuckin easy to alter the colours and contrasts in a photo. Anyone proficient in Photoshop or similar could play around with the shot just for the front cover! They could even make up a background, and make the car look a super bright blue, like it is when the sun hits it!
Easy peasy to edit it to fit the purpose.
I think they fuckin ya around mate.

just been going through me old revs mags fromt ehpast year most of them have awhite or a very light background colour to em so i think they are talking crap

yea after this carry on, i now relise how shit Revs really is, the only reason we was going with them is that they featured it last year and gave it a good write up.

why shouldnt you build a car just for a feature... to quote you 'if you knew how mags work' you'd know how much it costs to have a decent ad spread in the top 4. Spending a decent wedge on a cover car gets you two things... the best advert you can get and b) a nice spanky car.
and too be honest mate... i think your totally calling the kettle black with saying what you said.
Have you had a feature with yours? or been on a mag stand? and i mean yours... not anyone elses. no???
then give the guy a break and let him go for cover...after all, if your honest, would you not like yours on the cover?
