earlyer it was downloading at 56k/s and now its at 1k/s wots up any 1 got a clue its the 600k connection

try pinging an IP and see if you get any packet loss.

Check to see if its doing a windows update in the background. Also it may be the person you're downloading off, they sometimes have too many ppl downloading from them slowing it down, it often happens with porn

Your connection is only as fast as the slowest point. If you are downloading from a 56k connection the best you can hope for is about 5kbps. If more than one person is downloading from the same location the download speed will drop further.
