Have just bought a new car stereo. It is an Alpine CD/MP3 player.

I have not got a clue what an MP3 player is, can someone shed some light?

it means you can save about 250 songs in mp3 format to one disc(cd) and the CD player will be able to read it ,

no need for a changer now

nah you can play MP3's on a cd but you still only get a few on it even though they are 3-4mb in size. MP3 player plays the MP3 discs. can store a lot of tunes on them

Where can u go to download all the tunes, any software needed etc.

I've got an MP3 Head unit too, but never even been interested in downloading stuff off the net.

Hmmmmm, seems like effort

Seriously, i've never downloaded anything like that at home. Hence why im moving out of IT Just not interested in it. I've got a wicked little minidisk from a few years ago, one of the first decent small ones, haven't used it in years

Might go have a little gander later. Burns straight onto normal CD's then in a different file format. Hmmmm.
