Yip sounds like tha CAT alright. If you just lkeave it the car will get progressivly worse untill the gases hardly flow at all. When your cat is totally buggered you can put yer foot to the floor and the revs wont go above 3500rpm. Well thats what mine did. £50 de-cat - SORTED!

that eggy smell is sulpur, its normal after you thrash your car or if oxygen goes near the cat there nothing wrong with it unless your emissoins are sky high the it might need to be replaced, or your lamdba sensor. It happens on all cars with a cat more so on older cars with cats, my nova had a brand new cat before i bought it and it still smelt like that. until i got it decatted as i didnt need a cat on mine legally, its gives about 1-3 bhp extra if its removed, on some turbo cars like the scooby it will give 25-30 bhp if the removed!!!

De-cat pipe!
Then pay the garage a few quid to put the cat on, do the emissions and put ur cat pipe back after!
Should only cost £10 if you DONT hang around while they do it! ;-)
