The only thing I can think of is someone is buying that escort for it's vin and v5 to ring another stolen one with, but it's too expensive for that. I think this question sums it up

Think that question came in when it was on about £30k and its over twice that now

Auction so the seller technically has no control over it, more of a reflection on either how silly the market has gone, how easy it is to steal one or how many people on the internet want a laugh.
