I think the entire Manor team is a TBC now they've gone into administration. Can't see them coming back from this one, but where does that leave Wehrlein?

perfect for Lewis - clear number 2 driver for him

Lets see how he gets on and how close he is to Lewis - easy measure to see if if its was mostly car or driver skill that allowed rosberg and Hamilton to qualify and race pace so close

I won't be writing Bottas off any time soon! Lewis is probably in the form of his career but the cars are going to be very different again next year, so the playing field is somewhat levelled.

Agree to a point. It must also damage their confidence if they're being lapped so much, despite trying their hardest.

In other shocking news I met Hamilton the other week, chatted too him and shook his hand. As much as I wanted to think he would be a fucking wanker and a chode I was actually shocked. He was a nice bloke.

Result, I have to say on the couple of occasions I've been close to Hamilton (it's a stretch to say that I've met him :lol he's put considerable time and effort into engaging with people and interacting, which is more than can be said for many in his position.

Been quite an exciting pre-season this, been a while since I've been giddy at car launches.

Some great looking innovation so far in the aero blackbox areas, we've been missing individuality on cars for a while now.

Shark fins need to die though

The Mercedes front rear wing thing is quite cool apparently it's due to a loophole. Won't last long if it ends up giving massive performance gains.

Ferrari have something similar on the end of their shark fin.

I'm not sure it's a loop hole, but it is intended to achieve a similar effect to the shark fin - cleaning the air up to allow the lower rear wing to engage more.

I don't think Mercedes (or Ferrari) are sure about it yet - and both of them will experiment heavily with all combinations of the T-wing and shark fin next week I suppose.

I wonder if it's any coincidence that the two teams who thought of a T-wing have both had James Allison on their books in recent months
