The lesser of two evils imo

By all accounts apparently a very clever man, dont be fooled by the act you see in the campaigns, its just to appeal to certain groups of people

He's also a shrewd businessman first and a zany politician second. All his closest business buddies will be winning lucrative contracts which will breed industrial monopolies and selective trading. His far right policies on ethnicity will breed nothing but contempt and further sectarianism in American and even more a target for terrorism.

That would be very unfortunate because he's made LOTS of promises and has a very long manifesto, if none of those our true it would mean their votes of the population were completely pointless and based on nothing..

I put £50 on him to win last night as a punt and made £200

Im not overly fussed on him being president, the next 6months are going to be interesting though! I would of voted for him if i was American

Currently in Boston and was such a weird atmosphere last night around elections

People getting very very irate when the voting started to come in and listening to the people's reasons for voting g for either didn't surprise me why he got in power

Currency has taken a slight hit so hopefully allow the £ to recover

Interesting few years ahead for all of us

Yes but most of the businesses he run became bankrupt

The reason he has wealth is because he was very clever and able to market and brand his name Trump - this is how he has made a lot of his money

Similar result to the Brexit vote, imo. A protest against the status quo and the establishment. Whatever you think of Trump he certainly isn't that.

It's not that surprising a result, this is a country that voted in George W twice. I Think a stronger opponent would have beaten him, God knows what the Democrats were thinking putting Hilary up.

He's made his money from the property boom, ripping people off and not paying taxes

Won't pretend to be a Trump expert, but had a couple of hours on the train last night so read up.

It blows my mind how somebody can build up a personal value of billions by running so many businesses and investments into the ground

People need to realise the media are biased, in the same way they were with Brexit.

The fact CNN had a pre-election party celebrating Hilary Clinton is perfect example of this.

Not saying Trump is good, neither are. Im merely saying the media are completely biased and will portray people in false lights - dont believe everything you read.

I've always liked Donald Trumps 'hard act' on the apprentice and it seems he doesn't give a fuck in real life either

Tbh both were crazy candidates for the Presidency.

Barack Obama has been a decent President imo. Seems like a decent guy. Shame he wasn't able to run again, as no doubt the Democrats would've won this time.

Exactly this. Media have been twisting stories since the beginning of time.

Quite happy this is the 2nd time this year they've been made to look like idiots, with the whole Brexit saga and now this.

My sister is currently staying at the Midtown Hilton where Trump's party was being held. Says he's having at nightmare with security checks just to get to her room.
