So after speaking to a few people about how easy it was, I bought a brand new Mohair roof for my mx5.
However what I wasn't told until after was, all those people bought them already on the frame. Now I've spoken to about 4/5 people/businesses and they all say it's too difficult and they wouldn't want to
Get involved.

Do any of you know somebody I could use? This has a tear in it, looks shit and leaks in heavy rain.

There's a place in Romford called allhoods

I used monsoon near Brighton for my Z4. Bit of a trek but great company.

Romford would be ideal Ben, know anybody that's been there, or heard anything decent? Brighton wouldn't end of the world, no idea how much I should be expecti to pay though

Jack Smith Trimmers are meant to be fantastic, and very competitively priced. I know they were held in very high regard by the S2000 lot, and I believe the MX5 guys speak highly of the work there too.

I think a brand new hood was less than £300 supplied and fitted for an S2000, so should be similar for a MX5.

Only downside for you is they're in Swansea, but very cheap!

Jack Smith's is the go to as Tom said, massive in the MR2 world, 280 for a roof made and fitted. Not much use to you.

There is a place in maldon/heybridge way near the small asda that do custom roof trims for older stuff, they might be worth a try as you already have one.

Tbh I didn't speak to them. My dad told me to go there after a bloke he knew got his roof fitted there.

Give Monsoon car hoods a call. They're a very small business and very friendly/knowledgeable.

They have your car listed on their website, so should manage it no problem.
