often browse this place but it seems to be getting slower with activity. anyway its been a while since ive owned a car and being in london i dont really need one... so instead i bought a motorbike!

Kawasaki VN800 which is now a bobber.

when i bought it...

I then bought a few bits and wanted to change the headlight, managed to cut and chop down a daymaker light to fit in a grilled headlight surround...

rear mudguard cutting

didnt like the lip so the plan was to cut it down further

getting stripped down and prepped for paint

during respray...

after respray...

changed the front light, took some cutting and snipping and soldering to pair up the daymaker to fit inside the grilled housing

not overly sure on this light but its much brighter than the original which is great - just might be a bit too modern looking imo.

original wiring up to the light housing and kill switch etc was this horrible silver tubing so cut that off and tapped it then used fabric tape to tidy it up and re routed some of the loom wires...

took off the exhausts and rewrapped them in black and then sprayed them with high temp paint so the wraps wont go grey..

new grips and side mirrors

thats pretty much it, added the tool bag behind the seat and that blue thing you can see is for my phone so i can use google maps...

also changed the filter for a k&n filter and also changed the front pegs to these...

some quick nice pics...

next is to get a custom exhaust fabricated something more like a straight pipe with slash cut ends a bit like the photoshop below...

uncle took the bike for a quick spin - only clip i have of it so far!

Not into bikes, but that is cool. Much better than the power ranger type of bike.

Lovely bike, but i think i prefer the original colour, but everything else looks nice. I kind of like the new headlight aginst a old bike suits it a treat.

What a beautiful beast that is. The changes you've made are incredible. I don't know much about bikes but that looks like something you see on a magazine cover.

looking good, definately cleaner than mine lol although i do prefer them a bit more rough and used looking, how easy were the grips to change and how do they feel as i need to get a new set on mine.

pic didnt load!

grips were a nightmare on mine, also had to drill out the ends to fit the mirrors through the hole. comfy as hell though and drop the vibrations down..

Ive only got the one mirror on mine on the bars, mine dont vibrate too bad at all theyre just quite worn out and i need to adjust the throttle cable, theres too much much movement before it engages, then again most of the stuff on my bike is quite loose and worn lol, recently had the carb worked over and the guys said the engine is real good and pulls better than some of their Harleys so that was good to hear
