Christ, bad enough doing 8 hours, but yeah, 3 shift pay is very good. Only doing a couple days 12 hours as cover, although have applied for a 12 hour 2 shift internal vacancy. Not sure I want to be on site that long

Up north, doesn't count. Probably cost about 20 pence each.

Perfect hours for me, home around 4.45 and the rest of the evening is my own

I just don't see how you can function as a normal human and have a social life if you're asleep all day then back to work at night. I've worked nights before and it's shit

I do a variation between early, late and middle.
I enjoy it, find plenty of time Togo out, in fact I go out more than when I had a 9-5. I'm sure this upsets the 9-5 people for some reason.

These aren't normal humans, these are the sort of people who's main group of friends are Xbox based.

I don't own a single game for my games console. Just use for Blu Rays.

Who wants to be normal anyway?

How would you describe yourself? "Normal"

Wow, you seem very interesting, please tell me more.

Agree with Davey and others. I've done several month stints on nightshift and it seriously screws with me. I can't switch my meals around so end up having breakfast at just about every meal. Can't quite swing the body clock round a full 12 hours so end up on a sort of hybrid sleep pattern. Nightshift is for a particular type of person but that certainly isn't your average bloke.

I've been out last two days, and I'm out on Sunday too.

The people who like doing nightshift are normally the 1s who have a job sitting on their arse and not an active role.

Quite enjoyed night shift last night. Quite an active roll as well. I used to have to panic and fit everything in to 2 days off on a weekend, now have 4 days off to leisurely do what I want when I want. No "must have an awesome weekend off work" Facebook posts as I can have a nice 4 days off instead. No alarm clocks needed.

Might've been cheaper to get a blu-ray player?

Suits me to sit around and do fuck all, gives me more energy to socialise with actual humans away from a screen.

Win/win
