Also Cleaned the A6 as it been 5,000 miles since it was last cleaned (at its service - adblue top up) - mileage has slowed down - just on 30k and still on original tyres
20inch alloys and small brakes makes cleaning a breeze, on the M135 you cant get your finger between the caliper and the alloy

M135i is lovely. I would say though given that I currently own a 5 door in white. 3,500miles on mine now and love it more every time I get in it.

The bmw looks so bland from the rear. It needs a larger rear spoiler. I bet about 98% of people don't realise it's power output.
A6 is lovely. 20'' alloys

This. It's a grown up car. Not in your face like the VXR etc.

1,500 on mine now and I still can't wait to drive it every morning. It's ridiculously quick joining a motorway.

Are 98% of people blind? It's subtle but even so most people can see the twin exhaust.

Incase you haven't noticed, a lot of non performance cars also come with twin exhausts/fake twin exhausts. The audi A6 directly below it has a twin exhaust ffs

True Ben but not on the 1 series
Either way it's a seriously quick car - for me anyway. The way it's goes from 40 to 100+ is effortless
Sounds better with the exhaust valve mod also

Mines got the M performance exhaust on mine so difficult to stay discreet. Makes one hell of a lovely tone tone tho! Luckily my fuel is paid for too as averaging 21.4 MPG over 3,500 miles would have been costly.

20.8 on mine.
Although 99% of my driving is short journey in traffic.

I want the mpe but wife doesn't and to be fair she spends most time in it
In cold start it makes a racket as it is so with an mpe it can only be louder
I have heard both mpe and standard with sport cats and for me the sports cat setup sounds better

Not heard sports cats!! Dealer demo I drove had MPE so was sold instantly on it. They price matched it too so paid £600. Lovely in sports or sports+ and civilised in Eco on the few motorway trips I've made. Carries the little ones buggy or my golf clubs when needed but can be a hooligan when alone, ideal car for me. Not sure what to replace it with when the time comes tbh.

I think it's loud enough as it is for me.

Not on the 1 series.
You're assuming 100% of people know what a 1 series with a twin exhaust means

You'd have to be a real BMW Nerd to a) give a fuck about that, and (b) actually notice and realise it means something

I agree - the appeal of the M135 is its subtlety.
To those in the know, there's a few hints to it - silver mirrors, wheels and brakes, no front fogs and the twin exhaust, but to everyone else it could simply be a 116D!

For me i just don't see what the 1 series is meant to be, its too big to be a small fast hatch, doesn't have any nice features of a coupe, even a saloon car looks sleeker and lower, looks more like a short estate car for me, needs to look sporty, too much of it is too high.
Performance has gotten boring and irrelevant these days, a granny car will do 110mph and no one actually seems to achieve that on day to day driving.
