The Corrado wasn't produced in huge numbers though was it?

Some of the cars on the list may not seem popular but I remember a lot of them being on the road, Meastro's, Cortina's, Sierra's etc.

Yep. Too expensive for people. They were weak and wallet said buy the golf.
