Perhaps it wasn't done for likes, and it was just done because that's what the person does.

If you're considering putting bikes on the roof just make sure it has proper mounting points for the rack and not horrendous clamps that go round the door frame!

535d is a beast of a car it's fast enough for normal road use with the added bonus of no ///M tax.or Internet rumours.

Yeah it does. But then you've got a soaking wet muddy bike you are trying to put in the car without scratching the interior. I've got 180k piece of shit Astra and I still put them on the roof as its far easier.

Just been looking on rs246 and there's a few great priced examples on there. An S4 avant (supercharged one) has caught my eye. £17k for one with 47k miles and a load of extras on it.

Can get most BMW's with Xdrive. Not necessarily top spec engine ones either.

Ford mondeo estate. If you get a titanium edition you can feel a bit special. Think they might be a lot of car for the money but I'm not sure.

Will the car be used to impress people? As makes quite a difference to the choices imo

Can't say I've ever bought a vehicle to impress anyone sorry. Think that's a bit fuckin silly.
