it comes from attire, and was known as tire before some reason, we started to use tyre. so no, its not actually incorrect in any sense of the word/spelling.

but anyway, back to the question....

ive used autoglym in the past and yes it is pretty good.

reason i am asking is, if i paint some wheels black, the tyres need to be shiny/black also, or it starts to look a bit council estate.

I love the Autoglym stuff, soon as I get it I dump it into a jar then use a brush to apply. Much better. It doesn't last very long though.

Despise the Megs Tyre Gel, im nearly out of this and will be back to AG

Fantastic on tyres. Lasts forever, and a little tiny bit goes a long way.

I use autosmart highstyle , it's a rubber and plastic dressing. 5 litres of the stuff for £14 from the autosmart dealer , it's lasted me months so far. Good shine off it and lasts quite a while.

I recently sprayed the shit chrome lip on my wheels black until I get them refurbed properly, I didn't mask the tyre off and sprayed the whole lot not my wheels and tyre walls are lovely and black.

Prior to that I used auto glym stuff from the auto glym man when he comes round, great stuff also apply it with a brush as it goes further and the spray goes all over the wheel and paintwork.

Yeah probably, to be honest it'll blow off when I next jet wash it haha, I was just being lazy as I was doing the wheel lip black and the tyres are obviously black it made no sense to mask up. Looked good aswell actually for the few days it'll last before it all flakes off lol.

Megs tyre shine is the best I've used so far. Gives a very deep glossy finish and lasts for days. Smells nice to. It can be used on all blacks as well so it's a bit of a jack of all trades.

Customers that want a high gloss finish I use Autosmart Smart shine brushed on of sprayed depending size of tyre. For a light gloss finish I use the same but leave it a minute and then wipe over lightly with a cloth.

Seems to last a good while and is cheap. Around £17 forb5 litres.
