Mk2 cav as a daily? Fuck that, especially in the colder months when stuff starts going wrong.

I had that black puma as a runabout when I had to sell the focus st to buy a house. Was great. I was able to chuck stuff in the back and not worry about ruining it.

I'd not want to be pissing about with a very old motor, trying to keep it mint whilst using it for dump runs and commuting.

Since they are 30 years old with a redtop conversion and a known running issue

Can everybody stop saying redtop?

I'd stay away form a 2.0 Corsa if you're after a daily, end up being a money pitt

Why should we stop saying it? He is looking at a Cavalier with a 20XE engine conversion?

Pretty sure he never mentioned a Corsa anywhere tbh

Yeah, fair one. However he mentioned novas "etc" so falls under the same umbrella for me.

Redtop is a bottle of milk, or a word chucked around by farmers with 8 fingers on each hand.

Who the actual fuck refers to bottles of milk based on the colour of the lid anyway?

If I said to the missus go and get me a redtop she would think I was a fuckin spastic.

I meant in general Ian?

Very basic, very easy to maintain car.

I'd still be running mine if it hadn't been written off.

I had such plans for it.

When I was younger it was the norm to call milk by the lid colour.
