Assume 'MECH' gearbox refers to a manual.

Perhaps I am getting old but I think the E46 M3 shape has stood the test of time well.

I want one agreed re. The shape. It has aged well.

A mate has the e92 which is lovely but also looks really bulky, whereas this appears to be just the right size.
