Went for an evening wander with the girflfriend to a fell near my house. Quite stunning views last night.

Photos taken from my iPhone. I think they came out quite well.

When you say wander, was the 2003 Volkswagen Transporter 2.5tdi 88bhp involved?

Went up nan bield pass in the Lake District. Great riding. Until my mate knocked himself out and split his head open. Resulting in a regular ambulance and an air ambulance attending the scene. He is ok luckily. Dangerous stuff in bike park lakes.

Well that's an education for me.

I'd always presumed they were some kind of small building for shelter or storage.

But then i've never seen one in person.

Did you walk on the glass roof of the museum next to where the photo was taken from?

I have a soft spot for Sunderland. The walk out to the lighthouse is lovely, pretty scary when it is dark though. The whole beach along there is lovely past the Roker area.

You can still see some of our equipment on that quayside picture. The big grey chute is about £150k worth of steel and fabrication, what a waste.

Indeed you can do as you say in the café

wasnt a bad morning out in sunderland. went up to the top of penshaw monument, which i didnt realise you could, even though i lived in penshaw as a youth.

doesnt seem like a lot goes on in sunderland docks. was deserted pretty much. they seem to be trying to improve bits of the coast at roker, some new buildings and work going on.

We were in talks at one stage to buy Port of Sunderland from Sunderland Council but it fell through. That company is now defunct

If offshore wind picks up again, Sunderland will be a good hub and hopefully it will create some jobs for the local area.
