Just to add I can understand why people eat it because obviously its good for you, but cannot understand how people can say they enjoy the taste of it

Aye it doesn't have much flavour but it adds to things like burgers. More texture than anything else though.

Eck's right, it's about texture not flavour for me anyway. When i go to the Earl of Sandwich i always ask for tomato for more flavour and lettuce for texture.

I like wrapping meat in it and eating it. Like a burger wrapped up in lettuce. Saw it on the tv. Shredded duck. Pulled pork etc.
