Nankang NS2r's and federal 595 RSR's are probably a good shout. Both budget track tyres from usually budget brands but both offer great performance. Admittedly they aren't. 888 or a AD08 but they offer 75% of the performance for 50% of the cost. Don't write them off just becuase of what you would historically associate the performance of the brand.

imo the 15's with 50's looks perfect.
Never liked 16's on a b, they look good when the car is lowered too much, but then the defeats the purpose.

okk...so this is the tyre I was looking at:
R1R Tyre
But I realise they aren't as semi-slick as the R888's (Which I do love!) Perhaps I do just need to wait until I have a few extra bucks and get some decent Semi-slicks or ofcourse a diff..
...but since I'm gonna need to replace front tyres soon anyway I may give the R1R's a try as they aren't very expensive and will be better than the T1R's i'm currently using..

I really don't understand this issue with Nankang. Yes, they've made some shit tyres before but until the R889, so did Toyo (and they still do). Nankang have made a good tyre at a decent price, maybe that's the issue, they're not gold plated enough for people to bother.

The Clio forums rave about the NS2 and NS2R, the NS2 is comparable to the Toyo T1R and the R is comparable to the Federal 595RSR or Yoko AD08
