Yes, but some people do have some utter shit tattoos.

Seen some with crap all over their face then wonder why they get turned down for jobs. Maybe because you have inappropriate words tattooed on your forehead.

When it boils down to it, you're damned both ways with tattoos. Go for something that has no meaning you get slated, go for something that has meaning and you run the risk of looking like a pretentious twat. The only way around this is to get a football logo tattoo, because nobody is looking like a pretentious twat with one of those.

In the sense that it's a pattern on your arm that looks much the same as any other from 2 feet away.

If it's in memory of your grandad or just because you like the look of it, who cares? It's just a tattoo, and you wouldn't have got it if they weren't trendy anyway.
