Indeed, it's often the same story. Thoughts in that vein tend to make you feel guilty too. Quite understandable though Chief.

Doesn't alter the fact that bereavement sucks worse than anything else in the world.

It may sound like a bit of a cliché but in my experience, it does improve over time. Less raw if you get my drift.

It's weird though. Grief is an odd sort of beast. It can still come back to bite you in the arse when you least expect it. It's like getting mugged or blind-sided. It will still catch you off-guard sometimes.

If i'm at a low ebb for instance. Ill for example or hungover etc, or sometimes just if she gets mentioned in conversation with family or friends, it can suddenly hit me really badly and it's as though it happened yesterday.

In general the years do help though.
